Born and raised in Ireland, Kevin Babington has been in the saddle since he was a teenager, and it soon became clear to him that he wanted to turn professional, fulfilling that wish in the United States. A success story followed: team gold at the European Championships, eighth place at the FEI World Equestrian Games, Nations Cup victories for Ireland and an amazing fourth place at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Although Kevin Babington is unable to compete since his fall in 2019, his involvement in the equestrian industry remains strong: He successfully adapted his career, continues to train and has established the Kevin Babington Foundation (KBF), which provides funding and support for equestrian athletes with spinal injuries. The organisation also looks at current safety measures to do prevention work and also hosts its own charity show jumping events. We hold the utmost respect for Kevin and want to relive his best moments through this playlist!
