Bertram Allen – The Rising Star from Ireland

Bertram and his six siblings were raised in the South East of Ireland in Wexford. Born into a family with a strong equine influence it was not surprising that Bertram started to ride at an early age. The list of his successes is very long it already starts in his pony career when he was able to win gold and silver medals at the European Championships. In 2011 Bertram moved to Germany to improve his jumping skills. Two years later, he started training with Marcus Ehning, who has helped and guided Bertram ever since. Already at the age of 18, he could win the first leg of the World Championship in Normandy. Bertram marked his departure from his teenage years in 2015 with a win in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Dublin. In this year he also became the youngest rider to win a round of the Global Champions Tour. He was part of the Irish winning team gold Medal at the EuropeanCchampionship in Gothenburg. Top 40 on the FEI World Ranking for the past six years and currently ranked at 21, Bertram continues to show how it's done in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup 2022.
