Family Benne from Florida is a thoroughbred horse family! Susanne Benne and her two daughters, Jana and Hanna, grew up riding dressage and called the saddle home. Already Susanne grew up surrounded by an equine family that bred horses and trained them over in Germany. At a very young age, she continued the family tradition and secured championship titles in both dressage and jumping. After almost ten years, Susanne and her husband Richard relocated with their horses and family to the equestrian state of Florida, where Richard had been raised. They founded Half Halt Stables Dressage in Cocoa in 2004. Just a short time after Jana moved to the US, she became a two-time regional champion in Class 4 as well as in the Prix St. George! She followed that up in January 2016 by earning her USDF/USEF Young Rider Graduate Program certificate. That said, she now enjoys working with her own clients and training horses, acting as Susanne's right-hand partner. Her goal: to ride internationally for the USA!
