Wendi Williamson has successfully defended her title as national Grand Prix champion at the 2025 New Zealand Dressage Championships, held at the national equestrian center in Taupo from March 18 to March 22, 2025. The event featured competitions for juniors, young riders, and senior Grand Prix riders at CDI level, while the FEI division took place at CDN level.

Michael Jung is set to return to the Kentucky Horse Park in 2025, marking a decade since his first victory there in 2015. His last triumph at the venue came in 2022 with fischerChipmunk FRH, who will again be his mount at the 2025 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian.

Reigning Olympic champion Michael Jung from Germany alongside top event riders Tom McEwen from Great Britain and Tim Price from New Zealand are confirmed entries for this year’s Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L.

On March 21, a 14-year-old warmblood gelding in Volusia County, Florida, tested positive for strangles. The horse developed clinical signs on March 13, including fever, cough, and nasal discharge. Currently, the horse is under quarantine, and 11 other horses have been identified as exposed. This incident marks Florida's 11th confirmed case of strangles in the year 2025.

A New Season BeginsThe Longines Global Champions Tour started today in Mexico with its CSI5* program, featuring a 1.45m class. Simon Delestre emerged victorious, maintaining a lead of one second over his competitors with the horse Golden Boy DK. Jérôme Guery from Belgium also secured a podium spot.
