In King County, Washington, a horse recently hospitalized for an intestinal problem has tested positive for equine herpesvirus (EHV) following a nasal swab, while blood tests returned negative. The horse is currently under veterinary supervision.

Purina Animal Nutrition, in collaboration with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, has reopened its annual scholarship program aimed at assisting students with experience in livestock production and animal care. Eligible applicants include undergraduate students and high school seniors who have experience with livestock, equine, or poultry.
