A New Season Begins
The Longines Global Champions Tour started today in Mexico with its CSI5* program, featuring a 1.45m class. Simon Delestre emerged victorious, maintaining a lead of one second over his competitors with the horse Golden Boy DK. Jérôme Guery from Belgium also secured a podium spot. This win adds to Delestre's recent successes, having previously won the Rolex Grand Prix of ’s-Hertogenbosch two weeks ago and the Hermès Grand Prix in Paris last Sunday.
In today's event, Delestre completed the course with the nine-year-old Golden Boy DK, finishing just ahead of Argentine rider Ignacio Maurin, who took second place riding Chacco-Conno PS. Guery secured third place on Killer Queen, a horse bred by Paul Schockemöhle. Samuel Parot from Chile placed fourth with Tiffany de Olid, while Belgian champion Gilles Thomas rounded out the top five with Elfra van Beek.
