As reported by equnews.com, on December 30, a U.S. court ordered Canadian show jumper and Olympic champion Eric Lamaze to pay damages, costs, and fees totaling more than $1.6 million.The court ruled in favor of former investor and family friend Lorna Guthrie. The legal dispute centered on the sale of the top mare Nikka VD Bisschop and dragged on for around two years.

At the age of only 12, the stallion had to be euthanized this Thursday morning due to a serious injury he sustained while being unloaded in Leipzig. As Christian Ahlmann announced on social media, D'Aganix 2000 Z was able to free himself from the truck while being unloaded for reasons that are still unclear.

Daniel Bluman Pulls off a Win in the $117,000 Grand Prix Qualifer at WEC
In a field of 40 international show jumpers, Israel's Daniel Bluman won the CSI4* $117,000 with his longtime partner Gemma W by less than half a second. Bluman and the 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare were one of 12 competitors in the 1.50-meter class who advanced to the jump-off, and then one of seven double clears.
