The R+L Annex Arena took center stage Friday evening at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) for the Midwest Indoors II edition of the annual WEC Medal Final. Nearly 40 riders contested the two-phase equitation championship, divided into the 3’ & 3’3” section and the 2’ & 2’6” section.

Jamie Sailor Wins USEF/USHJA 1.40m Open Jumper National Championship
Jamie Sailor of Moorpark, California, claimed top honors in the USEF/USHJA 1.40m Open Jumper National Championship riding Magic Mike, owned by Elizabeth Kilham. Sailor captured the $5,000 1.40m Speed class and went on to secure victory in the $50,000 1.40m Grand Prix, completing a standout week in the jumper ring.

Restrictions eased for Russian and Belarusian athletes at FEI events
An important decision was made at the General Assembly of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) in Hong Kong: As of January 1, 2026, athletes from Russia and Belarus will once again be allowed to participate in FEI competitions under a neutral flag. This relaxation follows a new approach by the International Federations and the Paralympic Movement.
