  • Boyd Martin and Daniel Geitner are 2025 USEF Equestrians of the Year

    Eventer Boyd Martin has been named the USEF International Equestrian of the year while Hunter professional Daniel Geitner has been named the USEF National Equestrian of the year.US Equestrian officials announced the honorees during the USEF annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. Martin and Geitner were finalists who were selected by US Equestrian members voting in December.

The FEI has announced that Molly Day will be Director of the Eventing & Driving Department, a newly created role reflecting the merger of the two departments.

The top five in North AmericaIn North America, Boyd Martin continues to hold the number-one ranking.Cosby Green moves up to the second spot from 13th in 2024. Will Coleman moved up to 3 from 5 in 2024. Caroline Pamukcu drops down one ranking to 4. Phillip Dutton is one spot higher, now 5.

  • Canadian Eventer Colleen Loach's 4* Ride Passes Away

    Vermont, the 18.2-hand Hanoverian gelding ridden by Canadian eventer and Olympian Colleen Loach, has died at age 14. Loach campaigned Vermont - Van Helsing (Valentino) out of a Heraldik mare - to the CCI4* level. Canadian Peter Barry owned the tall chestnut. The cause of death was not publicly shared. Loach posted the news on her Facebook page on January 7.
