October 30, 2025 at 2:57 AMBy h.orlando

Kaiden and John French rose to the top in the second day of showing at the National Horse Show in Lexington, KY. Kaiden prevailed as the Rockstar Grand Champion Professional Hunter and John was crowned the Rockstar Leading Hunter Rider after claiming champion honors in the Green Conformation and reserve champion in Green Hunter 3’6 aboard Kaiden and Crystal Blue, respectively. Congratulations to John!

On A Roll

Forsini not only rises to the occasion with professional rider Laena Romond but also shows up for owner Lexi Maounis in the Amateur Owner 3’3 18-35 division. He finished second in the Green 3’6 stake to claim the championship and led the charge in his class with Lexi.

The remainder of the professional divisions wrapped up today with Maria Rasmussen and Sunset View Farm LLC’s SVF Changeup taking top honors in the Green Hunter 3’9 with a strong finish in the stake. Scott Stewart and California Love stayed consistent winning their stake class and returning to the Alltech for the championship presentation for the High Performance Conformation. Last but certainly not least was Amanda Steege and Lafitte De Muze adding another long ribbon to their collection. They were the High Performance Hunter Champions.

Amateur Hour

The afternoon session kicked off with the Amateur Owner divisions. It was a one-two punch for the 36+ 3’6 classes with Sheila Motley and Way With Words alongside Harmony and Rachel Herkowitz each claiming first and second place. Stella Propp and Jenna Drago finished on top in the 18-35 3’6 with Grand Remo and Black Tie, respectively. Maryann Zeira and Casallo were the winners in the 36+ 3’3 class. Tomorrow will be a test to see who can keep their cool and take home the prizes.

Main Event

The junior hunters will take center stage tomorrow afternoon with an over fence class and an under saddle and the evening will culminate with the $75,000 National Horse Show Hunter Classic. Top horses and riders from the completed divisions will go head to head looking to make it into the second round.
