World No. 1 Kent Farrington nominated as US Equestrian of Year

World No. 1 Kent Farrington has been nominated as US Equestrian of the Year and his Greya as a Horse of the Year nominee. Boyd Martin, the No. 2 ranked eventing rider in the world, was also nominated as Equestrian of the Year, along with driver Tracy Bowman.

Greya, which Kent rode to Rolex Geneva Grand Slam victory, was nominated as Horse of the Year along with Bisquetta, competed by Laura Kraut, the world's highest ranked female rider at No. 7, and Larcot Z evented by Lauren Nicholson.

US Equestrian announced the 2025 nominees to be voted on by members of the federation.

National Horses of Honor are Discoblue PS competed as a hunter, Athenian Lady in Western Dressage and the Morgan Graycliff Tony Hawk GCH.

National Equestrians of Honor are Ted Carson, Amanda DuPont, Daniel Geitner, James Hitt, Shannon Price-Heald and Allyson Nord Wandtke.

Voting opened Monday and will run through Dec. 31.

Equestrian of the Year will be announced Jan. 14 and Horse of the Year Jan. 17.
