Alexis Knight Secures Silver at NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships

Alexis Knight and her seven-year-old mare Mila achieved second place in the PDS Saddles elementary freestyle at the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships with a score of 73.14%. Alicia Prim and Sapphire Blue followed closely with a score of 72.95%, while Christine Daniels and Darbey Ramblin secured third with 70.7%.
During the prizegiving, Mila displayed high energy, prompting laughter from Alexis, who commented on her mare’s impressive performance. Despite a mistake during a simple change, Alexis felt that the overall quality of their performance compensated for it. She expressed pride in Mila, highlighting her exceptional qualities and acknowledging the support she received throughout their journey.
Notably, Mila earned several scores of eight for parts of her routine, indicating her talent. Additionally, Dannie Morgan assisted Alexis during her warm-up, helping enhance their performance. The freestyle music, sourced by Kelly Jewell from Equidance, was particularly well-received, contributing to the emotional atmosphere of the event. In another highlight, Emily Nicol won the elementary bronze at the Petplan Winter Area Festival Championships riding her Irish Sport Horse, Adamo Cavaliere, showcasing a seamless and harmonious test.
