Luke Rinehart Wins the $30,000 Grand Prix at WEC Ohio
His Father Finishes Second

Luke Rinehart and the 15-year-old Zangersheide mare The Diamont Rose Z were one of four pairs to advance to the jump-off Saturday in the $30,000 Grand Prix at the WEC Winter Classic 6 in Wilmington, Ohio, ultimately taking home the top prize.
The Rineharts take home the blue and red ribbons
Last to go in the jump-off, Luke Rinehart clocked in with the fastest time, which then moved his father, Richard Rinehart, down to second in the 1.40 meter class.
Richard Rinehart and Lorstakov, a 17-year-old Holsteiner gelding, were first to go in the jump-off, setting the pace with a double-clear round that his son bested a few rides later.
Michael Janson and the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Ringo Starr Ps stopped the timers just 0.220 behind Richard Rinehart, to finish third.

McLain Ward racked up his second win of the week at the WEC Ocala Winter Spectacular III. This time, it was aboard Le Louvre 5, an 11-year-old Westphalian gelding, in the $32,000 1.45 meter Winning Round class. He earned the blue ribbon in the $32,000 CSI2* Speed class earlier this week, also a 1.45 meter class, with a different horse - I Know.

California native Skylar Wireman and the 12-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding Tornado won the $30,000 FarmVet Open Classic during week 2 of the Desert Circuit at Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, California.“We’re preparing this week before he’ll jump the CSI5* grand prix again next week,” said Wireman.
