Lizzie Rinehart Dominates USHJA National Non-Pro Hunt-N-Go Derby With One-Two Finish

he $12,500 USHJA National Non-Pro Hunt-N-Go Derby at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington saw 29 competitors test their skill over the flowing course in the R+L Arena. Rising to the occasion, Lizzie Rinehart delivered an impressive performance, not only taking the top spot aboard her own Bond but also claiming second place with Story Hour.

Rinehart and Bond, a 14-year-old Warmblood gelding, set a high bar early in the class, navigating the Hunt-N-Go format with ease. The duo earned matching scores of 87 in both the hunt and handy portions, successfully completing four high-option fences to finish with a total of 178, securing the blue ribbon.

Returning 23rd in the order with her second mount, Story Hour (Casalico x Antonia), a 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Rinehart maintained her strong form. The pair earned an 84 and an 85 for the hunt and handy sections, respectively, adding four high options for a total of 173 and second-place honors.

Rinehart’s double success underscored the strength of her partnerships with both mounts, demonstrating precision, consistency, and expert rideability in a competitive field. Her performance highlighted the level of talent present at WEC – Wilmington as the winter circuit continues.
