McLain Ward racked up his second win of the week at the WEC Ocala Winter Spectacular III. He earned the blue ribbon in the $32,000 CSI2* Speed class earlier this week, also a 1.45 meter class, with a different horse - I Know.
Runner-up and third place
Raleigh Hiler and the 15-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Lennox Vd Bisschop finished second in Friday's Winning Round, in which the top 10 from the first round advanced to the second round.
Shane Sweetnam and the 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare Gilona Ao took third.
Three-way tie for eighth
Three riders who did not compete in the jump-off tied for eighth place with their first round scores - American Bliss Heers with Farinjo Des Mec; Canadian Erynn Ballard with her new ride New Star Vd Berghoeve; and Nina Mallevaey of France with My Clementine.
Heeers and Mallevaey withdrew before the jump-off while Ballard retired during the jump-off.
