Equestrian Disciplines Confirmed for Los Angeles 2028 Olympics
The equestrian events of Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing will be included in the competition at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. This program will include six medal events: a Team and an Individual event in each discipline. The total quota of 200 places for equestrian athletes remains unchanged from the Paris 2024 Olympics, with 75 allocated for Jumping, 60 for Dressage, and 65 for Eventing.

On April 12th, a 4-year-old mare in Clay County, Florida, tested positive for strangles, a bacterial infection caused by Streptococcus equi subspecies equi. The mare displayed clinical symptoms including fever, abscess, and nasal discharge a day prior, leading to her being placed under official quarantine. Three other horses that were exposed to her are also being monitored.
