Tracy Fenney and the latest grey mare to join her string of grey mares, MTM Myrbalia O, a Dutch Warmblood, won the $60,000 Voltaire Grand Prix Saturday during the January Festival at HITS Ocala.
Haley Waters Wear and the 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Over Lux put in a fast time as the second to go in the jump-off. However, they couldn't hold on to the lead once Fenney and MTM Myrbalio O finished their trip as the penultimate pair in the jump-off order. Four of the six riders who advanced to the jump-off went double clear.
Back-to-back HITS Ocala Grand Prix wins for Fenney
Fenney and another of her grey mares, MTM Apple, a 15-year-old Danish Warmblood, placed third after winning the $60,000 Grand Prix the week prior at HITS Ocala. Fenney and her new ride MTM Myrbalio O finished fourth in last week's Grand Prix.
