Glock horses transferred to Austria

Operations in the Netherlands gradually winding down

March 25, 2025 at 3:11 AMBy s.wilhelm

Following Kathrin Glock’s decision to shut down the Glock Horse Performance Center (GHPC) in the Netherlands, several horses have now been officially transferred to Austria. According to the FEI database, horses like Glock’s Flavio, Glock’s Kardam’s Whisper, and the retired Glock’s Zanardi have moved from Glock HPC NL BV to the Austrian BV Glock Horse Performance Center GmbH, with the transfers dated February 25, 2025.

While Hans Peter Minderhoud remains active with Glock’s Toto Jr., Taminiau, and Massimo, the Dutch base in Oosterbeek is expected to continue operations in a limited form until mid-2025. Originally slated for an abrupt closure, insiders now believe Minderhoud will continue competing for a few more months, with Fontainebleau in April on his schedule.

Meanwhile, speculation surrounds a potential sale of the property, possibly to cheese magnate Jan Anker, who may also support Minderhoud in retaining a few horses. Despite ongoing transitions, Minderhoud remains reserved about his long-term plans, stating, “I know what’s next—but I’m not yet sure.”
