Adelaide 2026 Cross Country Team Announced

The Adelaide Equestrian Festival has confirmed its cross-country course design team for the 2026 edition, including the prestigious CCI5* and the Oceania Championships, as reported by an-eventful-life.

Clayton Fredericks will step into the role of Course Designer for the CCI4*-S and Oceania Senior Teams competition, following two successful years as Assistant Designer.

Joining him is fellow Level 4 Course Designer Ewan Kellett, who will serve as Assistant Course Designer for the CCI5*, working under long-standing lead designer Mike Etherington-Smith. Etherington-Smith will also support Fredericks as Assistant Designer for the CCI4*-S.

The team for 2026 reflects Adelaide’s continued commitment to developing Australian talent in course design, with Mick Pineo returning as Course Designer for the CCI3*-L and Young Rider Oceania Teams competition. Etherington-Smith will also assist at this level.
