Jared Petersen piloted the 10-year-old Belgian Sport Horse gelding Kawir MS to victory in the $10,000 Adequan Open Welcome at HITS Ocala on Wednesday. The pair topped the leaderboard by nearly three seconds faster than the runner-up.
Tracy Fenney rounded out the top three with her two mounts, placing second with the Dutch Warmblood gelding Neato, and third with MTM Can Talk To Me, a 10-year-old Hosteiner mare. Fenney was just 0.03 seconds faster with Neato.
In the class of 13, seven riders advanced to the jump-off, where four rode double clear.
