The Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals 2025 saw significant changes in the rankings during the event held on April 4 in Basel. Martin Fuchs riding Leone Jei showcased an impressive performance, finishing ahead of competitors in a jump-off class set at 1.60 meters. Fuchs achieved a remarkable time, finishing 1.55 seconds ahead of second-placed Max Kühner with Elektric Blue, who completed the round in 42.32 seconds, and over 5 seconds ahead of Alessandra Volpi and Gipsy Love in third with a time of 45.78 seconds.

Despite being the overall leaders prior to the second competition, Julien Epaillard and Donatello d’Auge decided not to compete in the jump-off, securing a sixth-place finish which still keeps them top of the overall standings with 74 points. The atmosphere in St Jakobshalle was electric as Fuchs had the support of local fans, yet the arena fell silent during critical moments of the event.

The tension grew during the jump-off, showcasing the skill and determination of the participants, especially Martin who expressed his joy in winning in front of a supportive crowd. He acknowledged his horse's performance while suggesting he still has room to improve. This event marks a turning point with new frontrunners in the finals.
