A year ago, Francis Connors, ranked 1292 in the world, competed in Oliva with a talented horse named Jm Just A Dream, finishing in 29th place in the 1* Grand Prix of the Silver Tour. The horse was later purchased by Deborah Mayer and is now known as Iron Dames Just A Dream.
The now nine-year-old horse returned to Oliva with a new rider, Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann, who is currently ranked 30th in the world. On Sunday, they won the Grand Prix over 1.50m, a world-ranking show jumping event, in a jump-off. They entered the jump-off as the eighth of eleven competitors and completed the course under a clear blue sky, finishing with a time of 38.09 seconds, which was nearly one and a half seconds faster than the previous leader, Axel Vandoorne from Belgium on Kaline de Fremis.
Third place went to David Simpson from Ireland on Ovidius vd Donkhoeve, followed by Gerco Schröder from the Netherlands on the eleven-year-old Jackpot, another offspring of Zirocco Blue.
