A major shift could be on the horizon for one of American equestrian sport’s most storied events. The National Horse Show has revealed plans to relocate to Tryon International Equestrian Center beginning in 2026, subject to approval by the United States Equestrian Federation.
A Historic Event Eyes a New Chapter
The show, which spans more than 140 years of history, has long been recognized as a cornerstone of the indoor season. Most recently staged at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington inside the Alltech Arena, the event may soon transition to North Carolina for its next chapter.
Why Tryon International
Tryon International has established itself as a leading venue for championship-level competition, offering extensive competition arenas, athlete amenities, and spectator accommodations. Organizers believe the potential move would position the National Horse Show to continue delivering a high-caliber experience while building upon its longstanding legacy.
Awaiting USEF Approval
Specific dates, schedules, and competition details are expected to be shared once the federation review process is complete.
