Germany's Tony Stormanns Rides to First and Third Places in WEC Speed Class

Tony Stormanns was the last to go yet first to finish in the $1,000 1.40 meter CSIU25 Speed class Wednesday at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) Ocala. HIs time of 58.60 with the 14-year-old Selle Francais stallion RMF Clinton Son bested runner-up Laurel Walker and the 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Armani, who stopped the finish timers at 60.25 seconds. Stormanns also took third with his other mount in the class - RMF Cinnamo, a 12-year-old Swedish warmblood gelding.

Stormanns was third in the order of go with RMF Cinnamo, took the lead with a time of 61.89 and held it until Walker and Armani, who were 16th in the order of go in a field of 18, took over. Stormanns returned with RMF (Rushy Marsh Farm) Clinton Son last in the class and won.
