Ellie Ferrigno Tops the $15,000 STX Speed Class at HITS Ocala

Of the 13 competitors on Friday the 13th, Ellie Ferrigno had good fortune on her side, riding the bay Zangersheide gelding S & L Valentino de Nine Z to victory by just more than one second in the $15,000 STX Open Speed at HITS Ocala.

Three riders had faster times, but each left the ring with eight jumping faults.

Addison Benio and the grey Zangersheide gelding Django HMZ stopped the clock with a time to put them into second place, just 0.15 seconds quicker than the third-place finisher, Roxy Leyshon and her own 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare Jillz Dice.

Ria Ohtsu and Jimmy Jumper, who won this class two weeks ago, were the fastest four-faulters, and came in fifth.
