US Equestrian has awarded $33,000 in development grants to 69 licensed official applicants, continuing its commitment to fostering a strong and sustainable officiating community. The initiative, now in its fourth year, aims to reduce financial barriers for officials pursuing new licenses or promotions across all USEF-recognized breeds and disciplines.
Grant recipients—who are all active USEF members—include both established officials and those beginning their licensing journey. Funding supports travel and participation in required clinics and apprenticeships, essential steps in the licensing process.
The 2025 program included two categories: a general grant for meeting competition demand, and a dedicated U35 grant for officials under 35. This year, 21 recipients were awarded U35 grants, highlighting US Equestrian’s continued focus on the next generation of licensed officials as the sport looks ahead to Los Angeles 2028.
More information on becoming a licensed official and other funding opportunities is available on the USEF website.
