Marcus Orlob and the 11-year-old mare Jane won the Global Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Special on March 15, 2025, marking their first double victory in the American Big Tour. The duo achieved a score of 72.043%, following their earlier win in the Grand Prix, which was notable as their first error-free performance since competing at two German events prior to the Paris Games.
In second place was Anna Marek from the Ocala area, riding her 15-year-old horse Fire Fly, who secured a gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games, finishing with a score of 68.085%. Australia's Jemma Heran and her horse Total Recall took third with 67.957%. Orlob shared that regular walks around the busy Winter Equestrian Festival grounds have helped Jane build confidence, noting that the last two shows were significant for her development.
With support from owner Alice Tarjan and coaching from U.S. chef d’equipe Christine Traurig, Orlob has focused on creating a relaxed environment for Jane. He expressed a desire to be among the six combinations competing in Europe later this year. This competition includes a head-to-head event at Horses & Dreams in Hagen, Germany, with aspirations to secure a spot on the team for the Nations Cup at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen. Orlob emphasized his bond with Jane, reflecting on their time together in Europe as instrumental in strengthening their relationship.
