Skylar Wireman once again showcased her versatility and polish, earning her second consecutive win in the $20,000 3’3” Pro Eq Challenge, presented by Valencia Sport Saddlery, at Desert Holiday 1 on Friday, December 5.

Riding the experienced Crunch K, Wireman set the tone early. Among a field of 24 professionals, her smooth, confident first-round trip scored an impressive 92, one of the day’s highest marks.

Holding the Lead Into the Final Phase

Returning for the second round, Wireman reinforced her position with an 88, bringing her total to 180 and securing a comfortable lead heading into the final horse-swap phase. Only four riders advanced, raising the stakes for the traditional test that rewards adaptability and precision.

Navigating the High-Pressure Horse Swap

In the final phase, each competitor piloted a new mount over a shortened, technical course. Wireman drew Leica, typically shown by Andrew Jayne, and delivered a composed, accurate round that maintained her commanding edge. Her poise under pressure affirmed why she remains one of the sport’s strongest professional equitation riders.

• Marisa Metzger and Cornetaro delivered a polished final test to secure the reserve champion title.
