Olympic veteran Phillip Dutton (USA) delivered a masterclass in consistency this weekend at Plantation Field International, piloting Possante to victory in the Brooke USA CCI4*-S.

Smooth Start and Steady Performance

The pair finished on a score of 26.9, picking up just two time penalties on Derek di Grazia’s cross-country track to secure the win. Dutton and the 10-year-old gelding impressed from the start, producing a polished dressage test and a fault-free show jumping round before closing strong on the final day.

Experience Makes the Difference

Cross-country proved influential with time playing a factor for many, but Dutton’s experience shone through as he guided Possante home smoothly and efficiently to keep the lead. The win adds another prestigious title to Dutton’s storied career and highlights the gelding’s growing maturity at the four-star level.
