High Stakes in World Champion Hunter Rider Competition
The class, held during World Champion Hunter Rider competition, brought together a competitive lineup of top hunter combinations for a single-round test designed to reward precision, consistency, and presentation. With qualification on the line, riders faced added pressure as they navigated the track in hopes of advancing to the prestigious season-ending events in New York.
Bao Delivers Under Pressure
Bao rose to the occasion aboard Baker’s Dozen, producing a smooth and controlled trip over the course designed by Maja Lindemann. Judges Gary Duffy and Scott Williamson rewarded the performance with a leading score of 88, placing Bao at the top of the leaderboard and confirming her advancement to the finals.
A Rising Contender in the Series
At just 18 years old, Bao continues to establish herself as one of the series’ standout young riders. Partnered with the 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding by Dinken, she delivered one of the strongest performances of the qualifier season to date.
Tight Margins Decide the Qualifiers
Hannah Matts of Ocala finished close behind in second place, earning an 86 aboard Redfield Farm’s Celsius. Alexa Harris of Jamesville, New York, secured the final qualifying position with a score of 82 riding Como L.
Eyes on the Road to Saugerties
With another qualifier now complete, attention shifts to the remaining stops on the circuit, where riders will continue their pursuit of championship berths ahead of the highly anticipated finals in Saugerties, New York, this September.
