A packed crowd at the historic Devon Horse Show in Pennsylvania was treated to a thrilling display of speed, precision, and bold riding during Sunday night’s $50,000 Devon Arena Eventing. Under the glow of the Dixon Oval lights, Olympic eventers and top riders took on one of the most unique competitions in the sport — a fast-paced hybrid of cross-country and show jumping that spans both the Wheeler Ring and the Dixon Oval.

Returning as the reigning champion, Boyd Martin once again proved untouchable. Riding the fearless Miss Lulu Herself, Martin attacked the course with characteristic grit and style, posting the fastest clear round of the evening to secure the win and the lion’s share of the $50,000 purse. It marked back-to-back Devon Arena Eventing victories for Martin, cementing his dominance in this crowd-favorite class.

Martin didn’t stop there. He also rode Shanroe Cooley — a rising star formerly campaigned by Liz Halliday and now owned by Ocala Horse Properties — to a third-place finish with another tidy, fast round.

Shannon Lilley and Ideal HX delivered an impressive clear performance to slide into second place, keeping the pressure on until the final round. Caroline Pamukcu and Redfield Dexter finished fourth, while Ema Klugman rounded out the top five aboard Chiraz, also finishing inside the top 10 on her second mount, RF Redfern.

Known for blending the adrenaline of cross-country with the technical demands of show jumping, Devon’s Arena Eventing continues to grow as a marquee event — and this year’s edition delivered drama, excellence, and the kind of energy that defines Devon.
