German Show Jumper Richard Vogel Sells Cydello to Katrin Eckermann

Richard Vogel, a German show jumper, has announced the sale of his 11-year-old gelding, Cydello, which is sired by Cascadello and Forsyth FRH. The horse will now be ridden by Katrin Eckermann, also from Germany, under the Iron Dames Equestrian banner. Deborah Mayer, who oversees Iron Dames, is continuing to enhance her stable with a collection of competitively successful horses.

Vogel and Cydello teamed up in 2023, achieving multiple international victories during their partnership. Their last competition together took place earlier this year, where they won the CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival held in Wellington. The duo also performed well in other events this year, including the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix, as well as in earlier competitions in Mexico and Mannheim. Deborah Mayer aims to acquire horses with proven success as she expands her equestrian team.
