Hannah Matts Makes Her Mark in the $10,000 Adequan Welcome at HITS Ocala

Hannah Matts and Markant, the 9-year-old stallion, earned the blue ribbon in the $10,000 Adequan Welcome at HITS Ocala Premiere Wednesday by just 0.034 seconds.

Laura Gaither and the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Hop Mouche stopped the timers for second place, and Julie Welles and the 8-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Specialstar finished third in the field of 11. Seven riders advanced to the jump-off where four went double clear.

Francois Lamontagne aboard Lacros VDL was the fastest four-faulter in the jump-off, with a time of 39.541.
