Scott Brash overtakes Kent Farrington, who had been the undisputed number one in the Longines rankings for the past few months, and takes the lead in the latest edition of the world rankings. Exactly 10 years ago, the Briton last topped the world show jumping rankings, and remained in the lead for 16 consecutive months.
This means that American Kent Farrington, who has now been at the top of the world rankings for 10 months in a row, slips back to second place for the first time since the start of his 10-month run.
British riders in first and third place, Germany's Christian Kukuk and Richard Vogel in fifth and sixth
Ben Maher, who was previously ranked fourth, has now moved into the top three in the February world rankings. Gilles Thomas also jumps one position forward and is ranked fourth in the world. This means that Christian Kukuk, previously in third place, slips to fifth in the current world rankings. Richard Vogel remains unchanged in sixth place.
Representing France, Julien Epaillard jumps three places to seventh, having previously been ranked tenth. Nina Mallevaey also remains unchanged in her position, still ranked eighth in the world.
Daniel Coyle of Ireland is now also among the top 10 in the world in ninth place, having previously been ranked 11th. American McLain Ward slips from ninth to 10th place and Laura Kraut from seventh to 12th.
