Becky Hart passed away

Becky Hart, a significant figure in endurance riding, passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 71. As an athlete and coach, she made considerable contributions to the sport both in the U.S. and internationally. Hart, who hailed from San Juan Bautista, California, achieved a remarkable feat by winning the FEI Endurance World Championships three times consecutively in 1988, 1990, and 1992. She also played a key role in securing team silver medals for the U.S. in the FEI Endurance World Championship in 1986 and 1992 alongside her horse, Rio. In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, she was honored as the AHSA Equestrian of the Year in 1990. The annual Becky Grand Hart Trophy, presented by US Equestrian, celebrates Equestrian of the Year finalists in non-Olympic disciplines.
