How Horses Celebrate Halloween

As the leaves fall and pumpkins pop up in every barn aisle, it can only mean one thing — spooky season has arrived! Whether your horse is a brave eventer or a certified “spook at his own shadow” type, Halloween brings out the fun side of barn life. From costume classes to pumpkin treats, here are some ways horses (and their humans) get into the Halloween spirit.

🦄 1. The Costume Class Chaos

Every year, equestrians channel their creativity into some truly wild horse-and-rider costume duos. From unicorns and dragons to full-on movie recreations, these events are all about laughter and imagination. Bonus points to anyone whose horse tolerates being wrapped in tinsel, fake wings, or (the ultimate challenge) a tutu.
