The striking gelding by Lord Z out of R-Carlina showcased brilliance and composure throughout both phases to earn his first hunter derby victory.
Consistency and Style in Every Round
Hird guided Lord Carlino through a flowing and confident trip, taking all four high options and maintaining a steady rhythm that highlighted the horse’s natural balance and scope. The pair’s consistency earned them a score of 80 in the opening round and 81 in the handy phase for a combined 161, securing the top position.
