Casaccio and Freya d’Ambrel Secure Another Adult Hunter Title

Kendall Casaccio continued her impressive indoor season with a victory in the $12,500 WIHS Adult Hunter Championship at the 2025 Washington International Horse Show, riding her own Freya d’Ambrel. Representing Marmora, NJ, Casaccio and her seasoned mount posted consistent performances over two rounds, earning scores of 83 and 86 for a championship total of 169, and were awarded the Diane Wade Memorial Award for their achievement.

Close Contenders

Close on their heels, Molly Welborn piloted her own Theory to second place, finishing with a combined score of 168 (81 and 87). Rounding out the top three, Rachel Tanio and So Cool, owned by Garrison Forest School, earned 167.5 (84 and 83.5).

Season Highlights

The victory marks another high point for Casaccio and Freya d’Ambrel, who also captured the NAL Adult Hunter Finals at the Capital Challenge Horse Show earlier this season, highlighting the duo’s consistency and strong presence in the national hunter circuit.

    Karin Binz piloted her own Vatikan to a commanding performance in Section A of the USHJA Amateur Owner Hunter 3'3"/3'6" Championship, improving on her 2024 finish. The duo swept the Welcome, Handy, Stake, and Under Saddle classes, earning Grand Champion Amateur Owner Hunter honors as well as the Soon To Be Grand Amateur Owner 3'3" Champion Perpetual Trophy, sponsored by the Smith Family.
