William Dow and Legend of Diva delivered a commanding performance in the $10,000 Futures Prix at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington, securing a wire-to-wire victory over a competitive field on Saturday afternoon. Course designer Michael Pegg built a track that tested precision and pace, leading to seven horse-and-rider combinations advancing to the immediate jump-off. Dow, riding Jaime McGrath’s nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, was the one to beat.

Coming off a double-clear finish last week, the pair returned in peak form, navigating the track confidently. Dow posted an unbeatable jump-off time of 33.793 seconds. Close behind, David Crawford piloted Ivy, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Australian American Equine Partners LLC, to a strong double-clear finish, clocking in at 34.272 seconds to earn second place. Rounding out the top three was Victoria Andersen-Helwig, who guided her own Avatar to a tidy clear round, stopping the clock at 34.838 seconds. The final results list Legend of Diva.

The Futures Prix showcased rising talent and promising horses at WEC – Wilmington, with Dow and Legend of Diva proving they are a pair to watch.
