The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association has announced a $21,000 donation to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund, sourced from proceeds of the recent USHJA WCHR Spectacular Hunt Gala. This amount, combined with a previous donation of $10,000, brings the total assistance to $31,000 for the equestrian community impacted by wildfires in California.
Additionally, the USHJA Annual Auction raised $18,500 to support the USHJA Foundation General Fund. These funds will sustain various important initiatives of the Foundation, such as educational programs, grants for equestrian skill development, and the Horseman’s Assistance Fund, which provides financial aid to equestrians encountering unforeseen challenges. Efforts to preserve equestrian history and promote inclusion and sustainability within the community are also supported by these contributions.
This year's auction featured multiple desirable items, including an electric backpack leaf blower, an equestrian essential pack, a session with a mental skills coach, and a massage ottoman.
The USHJA expresses its appreciation to all donors and supporters of these efforts, emphasizing its dedication to the equestrian community. To support these initiatives, donations can be made to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund at usef.org/donate or to the USHJA Foundation at ushja.org/donate.
