Cornet Obolensky leads the WBFSH ranking 2025!

The BWP stallion Cornet Obolensky (Clinton x Heartbreaker) tops the WBFSH ranking of the most successful show jumping sires in 2025. His consistently high quality in the inheritance of modern jumper traits makes him one of the most important sires of his generation - and now 1st in the WBFSH Ranking.

Cornet Obolensky - from 4th place to the top

In the 2024 WBFSH Ranking, he was still listed in 4th place, but now the Clinton son has made it to the top of the most important jumper sires of the year. In particular Clooney 51, Comme Il Faut, Cornet du Lys and Cornado NRW stand out among his more than 5,000 offspring. To date, Cornet Obolensky can look back on a total of 349 licensed sons and 149 successful offspring up to 1.60 m.

Kannan and Chacco-Blue still in the top places

Cornet Obolensky leads the ranking with 30,705 points, closely followed by Kannan in second place, who was in first place last year: 30,364 points express the importance of the Voltaire x Nimmerdor son for international show jumping breeding. Under Michel Hécart, he himself was also highly successful in the sport and impresses with offspring that know how to convince in both top-class and amateur sport. To date, Kannan has produced 203 licensed sons, 210 successful show jumpers up to 1.60 m and 5 successful offspring at 5* eventing level.

Not to be forgotten and still consistently among the top 3 in the world this year is Chacco-Blue (Chambertin x Contender), who slipped from 2nd to 3rd place. Even after his death, the stallion who was once so successful under Andreas Kreuzer is still one of the most important sires of his time. His offspring such as Explosion W, Chaqui Z, Blue Movie and Chacna are successful at the highest level. Chacco-Blue has also produced 165 licensed sons to date, 220 successful show jumpers over 1.60 m and also a successful horse at 5* eventing level.
