Today, high-level equestrian sport took place in Italy. In the 1.55m CSI4* Grand Prix held in Gorla Minore, Swiss riders performed exceptionally well, with Pius Schwizer securing first place aboard Nadale van Dorperheide, a horse bred by the Philippaerts family.
The event featured 13 combinations competing in the jump-off, where Schwizer narrowly outpaced his fellow countrywoman Barbara Schnieper, who finished in second place riding Canice. Robert Murphy claimed third place with his mount, the 10-year-old Kannem J.A.Z. Elia Simonetti, competing in front of his local audience, took fourth place riding Li La Bo, while Michael Viehweg and Contario completed the top five. Belgian rider Andres Vereecke also stood out, finishing ninth with his horse Halima Van het Bonte Hof Z.
