Belgian Olympian mourns the loss of her competition horse

Belgian Olympian Jorinde Verwimp has announced the death of No Surrender, her 7-year-old Prix St Georges horse. The bay gelding succumbed to colic.
No Surrender
No Surrender was a KWPN gelding born in 2018, sired by Charmeur and out of Aronia, who is by Rousseau. The horse was bred by H. Vingerhoets. V
erwimp introduced No Surrender in 2023 during the 5-year-old young horse tests in Belgium, where they achieved success by winning the Young Dressage Talents in Kortemark. In 2024, they transitioned to the 6-year-old division and competed at the M-level during the Belgian Dressage Championships in Lier.
Their first international competition took place at the CDI Kronenberg Indoor in December 2024, where they earned scores of 72.00% and 78.600%, securing two second-place finishes. This year, the duo continued competing at the national level, participating again in the Belgian Championships in the M-level division, where they received scores of 68.688%, 67.424%, and 73.045% in the Kur.
