Ones to Watch

Silva Martin: Resilience and Renaissance

German-born and now a proud U.S. citizen, Silva Martin has long been a respected figure in the dressage community. Her career is marked by a blend of technical mastery and an unwavering commitment to the sport. In 2014, Silva faced a life-altering challenge when a riding accident resulted in a severe head injury, affecting her speech, vision, and mobility. Demonstrating remarkable determination, she underwent extensive rehabilitation and made a triumphant return to competition within the same year.

Silva's recent performances underscore her enduring excellence. At the 2024 Dressage at Devon, she showcased her versatility by competing across various levels, including a memorable appearance in the Dressage at Devon Dance-Off aboard her homebred mare, Rosa Cha W . Her ability to connect with both horses and audiences makes her a rider to watch at MADFest 2025.

Ali Potasky: A Rising Star's Ascent

Ali Potasky has swiftly emerged as a formidable presence in the dressage arena. Her partnership with the 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, Inxs, has been particularly noteworthy. In their debut season at the Grand Prix level, the duo clinched the Open Grand Prix Championship at the 2024 US Dressage Finals with an impressive score of 72.391%.

Ali's journey reflects a deep commitment to horsemanship and continuous learning. Her meticulous training regimen and focus on building a harmonious relationship with Inxs have been key to their rapid success. As they prepare for MADFest 2025, their synergy and competitive spirit position them as strong contenders in the field.
