Kasey Perry-Glass achieved victory on Heartbeat W.P. in the last Friday Night Freestyle event at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Scoring 75.915%, this win comes as Perry-Glass prepares to compete in summer events in Europe. The pairing previously placed second behind Marcus Orlob in the Grand Prix held on Thursday. Ashley Holzer, riding Hawtins San Floriana, earned a personal best score of 74.840% to take second place. Camille Carier Bergeron and Finnländerin, a 15-year-old Oldenburg mare, secured third with a score of 73.370%.

Perry-Glass described Heartbeat as more powerful than her previous Olympic horse, reflecting on their journey together since she acquired him three years ago during a challenging personal time. She noted the importance of understanding what makes Heartbeat comfortable to perform at his best. Her coach, Allison Brock, has played a significant role in her training. Holzer, who is navigating the transition to riding Hawtins San Floriana, mentioned the difficulties in building a bond with the horse, a notable mount previously trained by Charlotte Dujardin. However, she has recently started to feel a better connection with the horse after spending time training with Carl Hester.
