Great Britain Loses Top Horse to American Rider

Imperial HBF, a prominent horse from Great Britain, is set to join American rider McLain Ward.

The horse gained significant recognition during competitions such as Nations Cups, World Cups, and CSI5* Grand Prix events. Tim Gredley, the previous owner, expressed the emotional difficulty of selling the horse, noting, "This horse put my career on the map. The decision to sell him was one of the hardest of my life."

The horse was bred by Laura Tinto and trained by Alex Barr. Gredley acquired Imperial in 2022 and invested time in developing their partnership, appreciating the additional support from another horse, Medoc de Toxandria, during the process. Imperial HBF will now compete under the American flag with McLain Ward.
