Jared Petersen Takes the Victory in the $24,500 Grand Prix at HITS Ocala

Jared Petersen and Zechariah won the 1.40m class by 0.345 seconds. Petersen and the Dutch Warmblood gelding edged out the only other clear jump-off round, leaving David Jennings, aboard the Italian Sport Horse gelding Presley Degli Assi, to finish as the runner-up in the first Grand Prix of 2026 at the HITS Ocala winter circuit - week one of the Post Time Premier.

Portugal's Luis Sabino Goncalves and the 17-year-old Selle Francais mare Vick du Croisy knocked down an oxer rail in the jump-off, and were the fastest with four faults, landing in third place.

Two go off-course in the jump-off

Paul Halpern and Jerlot W went off-course the jump-off, and tied for seventh with Charlie Jones and Casirado 3, who also went off-course in the jump-off.

In the field of 18, eight advanced to the jump-off. The first 12 finishers got a cut of the $24,500 in prize money.
