World no 8 Nina Mallevaey of France and Destine to Be crossed the timers nearly two seconds ahead of their closest competitor to win the $32,000 CSI4* Speed class on Saturday at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) in Ocala.
Ireland's Tom Wachman and the10-year-old Westphalian mare Hawaii were the only other pair to go double clear, finishing in second place in the 1.45 meter class. They were third in a CSI4* $32,000 1.45 meter Speed class earlier in the week.
Canadian Carly Campbell Cooper and her new ride since November, U2 Westleven Z, a 13-year-old Zangersheide gelding, left the arena with one time fault to end in third place among the 13 competitors.
