Eventer Rosie Bradley-Hole Mourns Loss of Romantic

Rosie Bradley-Hole has expressed her sorrow over the loss of her equine partner, Romantic. The mare, a Cevin Z, was set to return for her second Mars Badminton Horse Trials when she suffered a fatal injury.

Last year, the pair achieved a notable result by finishing in the top 20 during Romantic's debut at CCI5*. Despite facing earlier health challenges, the 13-year-old mare had shown significant improvement leading up to the event. Rosie reflected on her bond with Romantic, recalling her remarkable agility and bravery in competition.

The horse was a fan favorite, noted for her diligence and drive during events. Romantic's previous accomplishments included a podium finish in the CCI4*-L at Blair in 2023, a testament to the hard work the duo had put into their training. Bradley-Hole had considered her preparation at Badminton this year to be promising, but the unfortunate turn of events has left her devastated.
