Charlie Jones Prevails in the $24,500 HorseFlight Jumper Classic

Charlie Jones and the Hanoverian stallion Charmeur won the $24,500 HorseFlight Jumper Classic at HITS Ocala on Sunday, closing out week five of the Winter Festival. Jones and Charmeur were first in the order of go and, in the jump-off, stopped the clock in a time that proved uncatchable.
Tracy Fenney and Neato came the closest, falling short by 0.18 seconds.
Fenney and the Dutch Warmblood gelding also were second in the $10,000 Adequan Welcome earlier this week.
Claire Connaghan and the Warmblood gelding Figment clocked in at 33.43 for third, 0.16 seconds faster than the fourth-place finisher.
Charlie Jones then beat his first-place time by more than 1.3 seconds with Montserrat OS, but left the ring with four faults.
Eleven of the 20 entries advanced to the jump-off, where five were double clear.
